Don’t Stay in a Job You Hate

It is a fact that human beings are more likely to stay in a terrible situation that’s comfortable to them than an unknown situation that’s potentially going to make them a lot more happy. We’re all guilty of this to an extent.

I hate to think of anybody spending a year (let alone a career) in a job they hate. But this is how it usually happens: they start a job they think they’re going to love and the salary gives them just enough income to take on a bunch of debt for a house and a car. They live this life for a few years and they forget they’d rather be free than drive that car, rather be free than live in that house. Deep down they think of being free, but they’re too scared to take the leap. Don’t be that person.
