Cash is the lifeblood of a business. I’ve said that over and over on this site. Most business models aren’t going to throw off a bunch of cash from day one, which is why most businesses are dying from the minute they open. They are bleeding cash and they don’t know how to bandage the wound.

You’re just going to have to figure it out. Guy Kawasaki says consulting is a great way to make a little cash to keep the business solvent while it gets traction. Maybe you need to borrow the money. I’m not sure what will work for you, but if you start your business with visions of millions and forget to think of ways to cover the bills this month, you’re setting yourself up to fail.
